what's wrong with my Wrasse?

All was good until this morning with my pink margin wrasse. It ate great, swam great, no issues.
This morning it is now inside the PVC part of my frag rack breathing heavily with mouth open and will not eat. It comes out periodically but acts almost like it is drunk, swims up a bit, then floats back down. I tried searching swim ladder disease, but I found very little info on treating it. Does this sound like the problem? If so, what can I do?
Thanks, Dave

Assuming it is swim bladder, there's not much you can do. I would catch him if you can, and either put him in a QT tank or at least a fish trap to ease the struggling. After that you could try to feed him a peeled boiled pea. Mash it up a little too. Some people claim this eases the symptoms of swim bladder disease. Of course, this is just a band-aid and the symptoms will most likely come back.

I would also test all of your water parameters and look at all your other fish for any signs of illness.

how long have you had him ? and yes check you water along with temperature as its getting warm and the tank temps tend to rise at this time of the year . i just unplugged my heaters as i found one that was stuck on and my corals didnt like that .

All the other fish look fine. Temp is currently at 79.9 with the MH on. Reefkeeper keeps it no cooler than 79. Never gets above 80.
I have read about the boiled pea trick but it won't eat. I have tried mysis, clams, pellets, all of which he ate yesterday...
I got him last friday. He was/is in an isolation box to keep him from my Purple Tang's aagression, she had shown none so I let him out yesterday. She chased a bit but not relentlessly as she has other fish. He ended up going back in the box, so I close it up again thinking he needed more time. He was fine, ate, swam around the box, no problems. Until I got home from work today and he looked like he does now. He is currently lying on is side, looking very stressed and breathing heavily...
