what's wrong with this coral?

ever since i took out the protein skimmer from my tank. the corals are all doing horrible. i use to never have a ammonia reading but ever since i took out the protein skimmer now i have ammonia in the tank. but i did a major water change and now it's 0. so now all my parameters are good. there is this coral in the tank that i just don;t know what's wrong with it. slowly it has been turning all white. but i am unsure if it is bleaching or something else. this coral i have been having it for 2 months. and just a couple of days ago i noticed it is turning white

by the way i know i am going to get questions why i took out the protein skimmer. i took it out because i need to ship it back to the store. i should be shipping me a new protein skimmer september 10th. item is back order

i know why the coral is doing bad but my question is, is it bleached or rtn. should i frag the coral and keep only the green part that is still left?
