What's wrong with this leather?

Hi everyone. I'm really hoping someone can tell me what's wrong with this leather and if there's anything I can do to bring it back. Started looking like this several months ago, when I was still running T5s. I am now running a couple AI Primes. Most of the time, it still has some polyp extension around the edges, though not in this pic. Sometimes a dip in Revive helps bring the polyps out. Really not sure where to go from here. This is one of the first corals I purchased, about a year and a half ago. As such I also don't know exactly what king of leather it is. Bonus points if you can help me out there too! Really appreciate any advice folks can give.

I spoke to a guy at another LFS and he recommended movig it lower. It was mid-level in the tank since I purchased it. Was fine for a year before it went south. At this point I'll try anything so I moved it.
