What's your favorite spirulina based food?

I use these pellets daily for my angels & have been for years. The devour it like its candy. I highly recommend them.

Ahhh, thank you for the comment. Good to hear. The problem with the zoomed sticks is that they are really really hard, IIRC. How are these pellets?

I don't feed nori. It always turns into such a mess in the tank.

Peter I used to have the same issue using clips for nori. Here is what I did;

I had some left over brs 1/4" netting from my aquarium top. I cut a rectangle out and fold it in half. I then took a piece of rigid tubing and cut a couple "rods" out of it I then ran rods on each side of the netting going in and out. I then place a piece of nori in between the netting. I have a magnet that holds it in place on the glass. Works great! I still get the occasional nori floater but its not nearly as bad as before. Fish don't seem to mind it either. I can put up a pic when I get home if your interested in seeing.

I take a half sheet of Nori and fold it down and place it between the netting. No need to take it apart, I made it wide enough to just slide in.

My longnose loves nori. Such a quirky little fish, one of my faves.

Kris,

What is all of that purple in your tank? Algae?

So you just put a piece of nori between the netting and the fish reach in and take a bite out?

Thanks,

Frank

Nice, thanks for the pics.
You're welcome. Didnt mean to derail your thread, I just know nori is messy and I had to improvise, figured the info might be useful here.

Yep, I have a macro algae tank. My system info is in my signature.

Sure do. I feed half a sheet a day with it. Dont get me wrong I still get floaters but nothing like the rippings off of a nori clip.

Thanks Steve. LMK what you think when you get it.

Got it in the mail. My Imperator loves it (which is the primary fish I was trying to get more into veggies; of course he eats pretty much anything). My various anthias, not so much, but it may be on the large size for them. The actual place is Melsfish.com rather than Amazon.com, which markets for lots of folks. The actual page for this food also has a larger than 1 lb option although my initial order was for a 1 lb bag. I will use this for one of several feedings per day for the tank with my P. imperator.

Just curious if anybody has used the power type and mixed with mysis, etc. How about smaller pellets that a juvenile tang would be able to eat?

By the way, thanks for the great thread....great information. Just bought some of the HBH Super Soft Spirulina Small Pellet Fish Food to try with my fish as well.
