I wanted to get your feedback on this layout I created.

3 channels.

1. Blues and UV
2. Whites, Reds and Green
3. 3 moonlights

I wanted to see what you guys think having all those different whites as oppose to just having all 12,000k? or what do you guys suggest?
and also if I should run the channels w/ those colors as is, or having one channel w/ all the whites and another with all the blues and colors.

Your feedback will be appreciated.

Why waste time and money with all those chips just use multichips and be done with it in 5 chips .....I have 3 10x10 250w fixtures all with only 15 chips total 5 on each ...every chip fully dimable ....

I would go to someones house who has bought a full spectrum fixture and see if you like the color. Several people here have them. Its personal preference.

I have a full spectrum led but not with all those whites. Just 12k, I wanted to ask what ppl thought. Anyone have a set up similar or can give any input?

IMO- It looks too warm on the whites. But you may like the yellows and reds to pop in your tank.

Why not try to open your unit and replace some of the 12k leds with red and warm whites.

That is exactly what I was going to say. That's a LOT of red/warmth! I have a full spectrum on my nano.

I really like the color. I was thinking of trading out the green for either a yellow or another UV.

I run the whites and blues on seperate drivers, and all the colors on a nano driver. I run the blues 100%, Whites about 40% if I had to guess, and colors at about 30% to get the color I like. Big difference when I added the colors. It definitely warms up and rounds out the colors.

3 reds is too warm you think? I kinda agree w/ the whites being too warm. What do you think, I replace the 4500K w/ more 12000k?

This is a DIY layout from the "Chinese suppliers"

It will all boil down to personal preference. Another biggie is whether or not your "colors" will be on a different string/dimmer. If not, I would do minimal colors, because when they are driven high, they REALLY affect the overall look. For example, if I set my colors on full blast, my tank looks purple. If you are not too far from Miramar, you can come check up my set-up and see how the colors affect things.

Personally, I would do a 60:40 or 70:30 ish ration of CW to NW, 2 reds max. If you have the ability to have the colored LEDs on a different string, you can get more because you can always dim them down. I hope you follow what I'm trying to say.

if it were me...I'd do about 35 blues, 10 whites, 10 colors. This combo would probably produce somewhere between a 14k and 20k look when on fully.

i'm in Miami Lakes, i'd like to pass by to check out your setup if possible. PM me your # if possible i'd like to pass by today.
