Wet Pets, Seahorse A Pet Paradise, and Elmer's are pretty much equidistant from Stubenville ~ 1 hour trip to all three.

I'd take a day, hit all three, and figure out which one that you like best.

Traditionally, I have gone to Elmer's.

A reef club? If you go to the bottom of the forums page here on RC, there's a section that says "other forums". You can click on that and you'll find a reef club forums thread. Click that and you'll find a full list of reef clubs. There is a pretty active one here in Pittsburgh, but I don't know about Eastern Ohio. You can check the list.

I grew up in Monroeville (Gateway Gators, class of 82)

I used to love to go to Elmer's. I'm thrilled to see folks writing about it and am glad it is still in business.

Elmer's, Wet Pets, and Seahorse in the greater Pittsburgh are all good. Other trips you might consider are to see Reef Systems and Phishy Business in the Columbus area or Salty Critter and Aquatic Technology in the Cleveland region.
