When are the 250W XM15K's coming in?

I would love to hear some feedback from someone who can compare the 15k to the 14k Phoenix. I'm looking for something a bit more blue. I'm also anxious to see some PPFD analysis on this bulb.

I need to replace my 250 watt MH bulb and I read this post. Not sure if I should get the 10k or the 15k. I am running a 75 gal with 3 110 VHO's (which I need to replace also) I am currently running 6500 and have tried a AB10k. What combination does everyone recommend? 2 actinics +1 50/50 and a XM10k, or 2 50/50 1 actinic and a 15k? I am running icecap for the VHOs and a standard PFO ballast for MH I am growing softies and hard corals, but slowly getting rid of the softies because they need to much trimming...

Wow This topic kinda went off track... But here is my Response... I like the 10k XMs however I am having an Issue right now with them.. Waiting for XM to do the right thing but its not looking to promising... I was really looking forward to the 15k bulbs but XM has pretty much turned their back on a long time customer... That to me is very important... If It were me I would suggest the 15k XM, 2vho actinics and 1 vho daylight.. Either that or my personal favorite is 10k with 3x vho actinics..

Last I heard Sanjay got the Bulbs the other day and should be testing them shortly.. But I also hear they seem Identical to the Hamilton 14ks

You are going to be very hard pressed to find a DE "blue" (not the true 10k lamps) lamp that performs better than the Phoenix/Aquaconnect. Of course we will not know for sure until Sanjay is done testing the bulb, but I would venture to guess the Phoenix/AC will blow it away.

We'll pick up DE version next order, so probably couple of weeks. I haven't heard of any tests or feedback on them yet.

If you want a 250watt DE lamp though, i would look at the 14K Pheonix. It's made in Japan, not china, so much higher quality and burns really nice and bright with a nice blue tint.
