When can I restock?

Just had some sort of disease break out in my tank and wiped out all but 2 chromis and a scooter blenny. The way it looked wasn't like typical ich I've seen at like Petco, it was more like bigger white spots that were washed out kinda, not really the small little spots. Is that still ich or something else? It also started to tear apart fins and stuff on 2 fish.

I'm going to just move my Lionfish over to that tank but I certainly don't want to do it too soon, Do I need to do anything or will it just die off on it's own? I don't really feel like tearing it down and cleaning everything and having to make over 100 gallons of new saltwater, I'll just tear it down and make it a freshwater teacup stingray tank or something then.

Help pleaseeee, I know I'm going to wait atleast 10 weeks but I really don't want to lose the Lionfish over something silly, because he's doing really good in his tank now but there is obviously no harm in upgrading him to double his tank size.

I think we need a better description or a pic---I can't even guess at what got to your fish. I assume it was some sort of contagious parasite, you have to get all the fish out of your DT and treat them in a QT. Without knowing what it it is, I think the DT should be fishless for 10+ weeks. I'd suggest you do some serious research and learn how to identify parasites and diseases. BTW, what species of lion and how big is his tank? Are you planning on keeping a blenny with a lion? Are you using a QT on new fish? What kind of fish did you lose?

No pictures because there aren't any fish left, the hippo tang just had like white areas on him. They weren't like the little ich spots though, they were more round and kinda looked like in his skin and not on top. Yellow tang never got any white spots but his skin started looking weird and under his chin turned brown. None of my other fish even had signs of any diseases other than a strawberry dottyback who went from looking perfectly fine to looking completely messed up in a day.

The Lionfish is in a 50 right now, It's a Volitan Lionfish and I don't know the exact size but it's no bigger than 3-4 inches. The blenny and chromis are going into my nano tank after QT, so there will be nothing but snails/starfish/crabs in my tank.

Sucks because I just starting purchasing new equiptment for my next upgrade to the 180 since were moving soon, but now I guess I'll just save my money and have only a lionfish tank.
