When do I give up ?

Ok... So I have a 14g biocube going since feb. in julyish, I got 2 black clowns from abc reefs. I don't think they were "paired" at the store, but they were sticking together so I took both of um. ( immature ). Now it seems the bigger of the 2 is really beating on the little one. I feel really bad because he's basically cowering in a corner afraid to even come out. She grabs him by the pec. Fin and just tears him up.
When should I give up and separate them? I have another tank I could put him in but I really want them to pair up...

20 yrs and my wife still busts my stones at every opportunity. Perfectly normal behavior for clowns.

Ther were black ocerilis. Woke this morning to find she decided life outside of the tank was better

this is just my opinion... but I'd consider a 30 gallon aquarium the MINIMUM size aquarium for a pair of ocellaris

you MIGHT get away with a 20 if it was a previously bonded pair

BUT 14 gallons for a pair that isn't at least bonded is a recipe for friday fish fry
