When feeding this type coral is it necessary to feed each polyp or will some fed feed the whole thing??

I believe you don't need to feed each polyp (although that would be nice)

I "believe" many LPS can share nutrients/energy among the colony.

Those that don't would be branching types of LPS corals.

I'm a newb so I'm sure others can chime in.

its a favia.... mostly photosynthetic but will benefit from food in the water colum like cyclopeez.
