when for the green mandarin?

i have a 135 gallon tank set up for about 2 months now, i had a 55 gallon prier to and ererything from there moved into the 135 had the 55 for 5 or 6 months or so. the 135 has 250 pounds of live rock in the display, within a week or to, i will have my 55 gallon refugium and my 20 gallon sump set up, the refugium will have 6 inches of live sand i am debating if the whole thing will have 6 inches or just half of it or something, but i am planning on adding like 100 pounds more live rock, and a bunch of chaeto, when will i be ready to add the mandarin?

oh and with havign a 55 gall refugium would i be able to keep a target mandarin as well?

Yes, you can have two mandarins but make sure they are different sexes. However, wait until your tank is more mature, perhaps a year old.

Wait until your tank is more mature. Otherwise, the mandarin will slowly starve to death.

If you're going to add a pair, add them at the same time. I had a male first, then tried adding a female (twice). No success. What I've read since then indicates they should be added at the same time for the best success rate.

That would help. However, since (for some reason I don't know know) females are rarely collected, the "females" you buy are often males with their dorsal fins clipped.
