when is it safe to add

I have had my 180 up and running for two months and have added a royal gamma two weeks ago. I had placed 100 crabs andsome snails in it about tree weeks ago. I have been slowly moving a few corals over every few days for the last month. Last week I recently added two urchins and other inverts. My main question is is it safe to move all my fish from the 72 to the 180 at one time or should I only move one or two at a time and how much time should I leave inbetween each move. The parameters in the 180 are actually better than in the 72 so I woud like to move everything over as soon as possible but don't want to overload the 180 too quickly causing the system to get overwhelmed. I still have quite a few corals to move and a total of four fish, a cleaner shrimp, and a peppermint shrimp to move. The main reason I have been moving the corals over before the fish is because it is impossible to catch the fish within all the rockwork.

Has the tank already went through a cycle?

If so, with only four fish to add, as long as they are not huge IMO you'll be fine. Inverts and corals don't impact the bioload, so all you need to be concerned about is the fish.

I personally would just move it all over. But I'm sure that's probably not the best way. :lol:

depends on if they are big fish or little..
i'd probably move them all and monitor the water.
but i'm impatient...and it doesn't pay.

They are all small fish, maroon clown, flame angel, mandarin, and lawnmower blenny.
I'm sure the gamma would like some company

I don't see a problem with moving all of them at once. If one fish is in there and doing just fine then I'd say your ok to move everything over to the new tank.

Yeah with fish that size you'll be fine. Monitor the water and watch them get lost in that 180!
