Hey guys, I have a 93g cube with a 30g sump. So I threw two shrimp in a mesh bag into the tank to begin cycling. It's been in there for a day already but wondering when I could/should add the bio Spira I also have to the tank.

And what exactly will this bio Spira assist with?

Add it now, i see know harm in this. What u are trying to achieve is the bottled bacteria to eat the decaying shrimp
This will happen with or without the bio spira but i, theory will speed the process up

I'd add it now as it doesn't really matter. The bottled bacteria will still live just fine and then will continue to grow once the ammonia comes on. You can feed your bacteria straight ammonia as well. Many choices to add ammonia.

If you want to track it add it after you see ammonia. But if you just want to speed things up add some ammonium hydroxide. For your size tank like 3ml should do it. then within about 24 hours you should see a nitrite spike. After that you can add a couple drops of ammonium hydroxide daily until it all goes to zero.

You need an ammonia supply after you add it. I added mine and stocked the tank 15 minutes later. Never saw ammonia or nitrites in daily testing. Be sure to pour some on the filtration.

Add it now..
There is no need to wait for anything...
It can survive a long time without any additional ammonia input into the tank..
