when to add cheato

I have a new tank which I added uncured live rock to on 8/29/07.
my water parameters as follows

ammonia 0
nitrite 4ppm
nitrate 50+ppm
s/g 1.025
temp 79.7

when is the best time to add some cheato to my refugium, after the nitrite goes to zero?

I would wait atleast a few months and let the tank get established.
