when to level the tank

hi guys

i got my floors redone, now the tiles are not perfectly leveled.

so when should i level my tank?

before i fill it up
or after the fill it up with water?

Has the floor settled in so to speak? I would level it first then add fresh water to test for leaks and check to see if it needs adjusting. Depending tank size it would be pretty difficult and hazardous to try and level when full.

the floors were done 6 moths ago i had shut the tank down.

now i want set it back up.
the tank is 120 gal 48X24X24

I wouldn't worry about the floor then but would definitely level it before filling. There will be no way to really level it once full and will weight just shy of 1000lbs with just water alone.

Fill with fresh water to test for leaks. Check to see if it level then. Figure out how undeveloped if it is, then drain, level refill and check again.

I leveled my 125 when full, it's funny how the tank could be level empty but when you add another 1000 lbs to the load it shifts. Many factors may apply, if you're tank sits on a concrete foundation then chances are it wont budge, but if you have a crawl space or on a second level the floor will give. I agree that you get it level empty and them ensure it stayed that way after it's full. if shims are required, use extreme caution when adding them, keep in mind the amount of weight that you are shifting around.

I'm reading this as the tiles are not in plane to each other? such that if you put a straight edge on the floor there are gaps?

or do you mean the floor is flat, but sloped?

I had an issue like that with my tank. Empty it was llevel even when filled it was level. However I did not know when my landlord redid the floor with roughly 10x1/2in board he left the carpet in so slowly over the course of months my tank settled and was unlevel. It's off by something like 1/8in on one side but just have my fingers crossed nothing happens.
