Judging by your picture, your BTA is in a pretty normal location... with its foot jammed into the rock and the oral disk just peeking out.

Bubbles or no bubbles means absolutely nothing as far as health is concerned.
You don't have to get the food near it's mouth. If food is sticking to the tenticles, just drop a piece and he will grab it and put it in his mouth. Don't break down your tank. It seems as if he is doing ok. Try some foods soaked in selcon too! Keep checking water chemistry. Keep asking questions if you need to.
Intervene? No. Just keep doing what you are doing. It's going to take a while before he gets his color back. Month, maybe longer. If he looks like he is melting or decaying let us know. Post some updated pics now and then, or anytime you get concerned.

Yeah, he is bleached. Thats not a problem though. Here is a pic of a H crispa I had before and after about a year of feeding.

I fed him Formula VHP for the first month or so.
Do not move him. He will go where he wants.
Lighting is no a problem with E quads. My crispa was under VHOs. The key is food. They do need light, but food is what makes the majority of thier energy.
After a couple of weeks of feeding every 2 days or so, he may drop food. Thats just a sign he is not hungry. if he feels sticky, he just does not wanna eat. Do not force feed him.
Fresh fish from he seafood market is good too, maybe a raw shrimp. peel on, would be nice too. Just give him manageable size chunks.

Alright cool, after playing such an active roll in my corals, it feels unusual to sit back and 'let it ride' with the nem.
What would a decent feeding schedule look like? The foods would be frozen mysis, Formula VHP or the like, and enriched silversides. Feeding like, every two days, switching off on the food?
Also, my peppermint has relocated to the left side of the tank, near the nem. Will he actually harm the nem? I think it's just looking for a meal. He doesn't seem to steal the food from the nem, just grabbing scraps as they float away.

The peppermint shrimp may steal food from your nem, so keep an eye on it. I've seen peppermint shrimp digging inside a nem to find the food. You can always feed the shrimp first, and then feed the nem, or cover your nem with an inverted strawberry basket that you get at the grocery store while it eats. Feeding the shrimp first has always worked for me.

Yea, I was just worried he might be picking or nipping at the nem. He seems fine for now about stealing food, he just gets some first or he gets chased by the baster 
. I guess when it finally decides to show, I'll try the basket, but there's no way to get anything to cover him in the rocks. It's not much fun either trying to feed him. An "L" shaped turkey baster would be money!

hesaias brought up a good point I never thought about, I had two peppermint shrimps in the beginning while this stealing food thing from the nem was going on, now down to one, I haven't seen the other in over 9 months or so, I wonder if the nem got the best of him.

Just an undate, the BTA is still in the same location. I noticed the cleaner and peppermint stealing his food, so I just cut them a piece of the silverside and they take it and scurry off. I'm re-aquaspacing my rocks today so he'll have a new spot. He's definitely shrunk a bit in size so I time it's time before I lose him.

Shrimp, although sometimes too friendly with anems, will usually not harm them(unless aiptasia, which pepps sometimes love). Shouldn't be too big of an issue, but if you see him eating out of the mouth of the anem, make sure to feed him his own mysis before feeding the anem. I always have to remind myself of this or the cleaners get antsy. You're more than welcome to come by and see my BTA's anytime if you'd like. I live a mile from UCF.
