when to worry?

ok so I picked up a big piece of the sunset monti (4"+) and I have a feeling it got handled very rough as it was cut off the rock, it looks like there is tissue missing(but no skeleton/white is showing) and I have only seen a few polyps extend(its been 2 days) mostly on the edges, how long without PE before I should worry? Im not sure is it matters but I also picked up a large tenuis out of the same tank and its doing awesome.

Can you get a H20 sample from the tank it came from? Test the alk and compare it to yours. I have never had luck with two tone montis when my alk is shifty.

I'll ask what his alk was at, this was one of the pieces jessie sold off. I tested my alk last night at and it came out to 9.

one of my purple haze frag havent had polyp for about 17 days now. it's growing and gain purple back.
