Where are all the BB tank pics?

Because the 1970s didnt have the same type of pumps and protein skimmers that we do today? BB asks that you create even more flow and rock-arrangement to accept that flow than typical berlin methods alloted for.

Heck, most Berlin tanks of old just replaced bioballs with live rock in their sumps -- this is frowned upon in BB.

Obviously BB has its roots in the Berlin method, but newer technology and further appreciation of several attributes have allowed it to be called Berlin 2.0, or BB :P

Here you go:)

I don't want to get pounded on but it just doesn't look natural to me! I think the tanks are awesome but they would look so much better with a nice sand bottom.

I'm ducking! :)

King-Kong Im new to all this bb stuff so can you explain to me why bb with live rock in the bioball area is bad?
Since i did this is it wrong?

This is what it looked like before I switched skimmers, put the chiller unfer there and got the frag tank runnng.

That extra live rock is probably not necessary to maintain your biological filtration, and chances are your sump doesnt experience the same flow rates as your display. This lack of flow means detritus is settling on/in/under that live rock, and you arent getting a chance to remove it from the system.

That's what happens most of the time, so the general consensus is, just get rid of it.
