Hey Guys,

Like the title says, I am tired surfing the net looking for a hot red or rsoe bubble tip anemone but I can't find one. Could not find any at my LFS either.

Could you guys direct me to reliable Online store that carry these guys. I am looking for the nice hot red or rose color.

Let me know guys

Thank you

Didn't know where you were until I saw "Anemone" post. In your case, online is probably the best bet, but it wont be cheap.

Hey guys,
Nope am looking the usual online vndors like LA etc
It will be shipped in the USA .

Also check with your local saltwater club, or ask around on a local forum, to see if anyone in your area has clones to sell or trade. Both of mine came from a local aquarist who's had the same "mother" anemone for over a decade (and they are very bright!). :)

Would love to see a pic with true representation of it to believe :)

Why? There are some folks who've had clones at least that long...

Of the mother anemone? Probably not possible...I don't know the owner personally, just got the nems through a friend who knows her. But I can take some pics of mine and post them. :)

Kevin, that tank is stunning. I've never seen a pink BTA before, but now I covet one!

WOW! This is astonishing. Is this tank strictly dedicated to your RBTA?

It is now. Didn't start out that way - used to be a mixed reef. But in 1995 I bought a RBTA, and you can see the results (no more mixed reef).

I've found color is highly dependent upon lighting - specifically color temperature of the bulbs. My clones were that bright pink for 10+ years. Lately, they've moved more toward orange. Gotta look at my old records to see where I've changed the VHO bulb combination.

A local reefer gave me a yellow BTA that he had in his tank for quite a while. I think he has MH lighting. In my tank, it's turned into a pretty green BTA.

That is good to know. Thanks for sharing this info. My RBTA was bright pink when I bought it (lighting from 29g biocube with no mods). It is now more of a reddish color under my LED. Now I know why.

Yup. Bubble Tip Anemones morph their color really fast from what I've seen. I was given a dodo brown BTA about 2 months ago. It's turning red with a green base. Weird thing is it split almost as soon as I put it in and both Clones are changing their colors at different rates. The one getting the most light is of course changing faster.
