Hi I want to do the 2 part recipe but have no idea where to buy epsom salt at a good price. Could someone please tell me where I can get it either in store or online at a good price?

Thanks!

I got mine at Walgreens. I think it was like 4 bucks to make a gallon of Randy's part 3. I still had some left over. :)

i found what resembles a half-gallon milk carton size for like 77¢ at wal-mart

doesn't take much to tick-off everything in the tank either :D
I wonder if the sulphate hits the corals like a nasty beer fueled SBD (aka silent but deadly)

hmmm , I have never noticed a negative response to the mag/Epsom mix and i have tested it by raising it by as much as 400 ppm at once.

might want to find a different brand .

Ah thanks. I had no idea where to look for the stuff lol.

Snarkys: Howcome look for a different brand? Are you referring to walmart?

Our local grocery store has it. Generic brand labeled "Top Care". They have two sizes of milk carton type containers, pint and half gallon, 99Ã"šÃ‚¢ and $2.99.

I've never seen any coral or fish reactions at all when making changes up to 100ppm. I'd not hesitate to make larger corrections but prefer the 100ppm per day just in case my test procedure was faulty.

if i found it bothering my corals i would take a closer inspection at what grade it is , what other things might possibly be in it and probably use a different brand.

There shouldn't be a negative reaction.
