Where did our free shipping go?

I'm sure we'll all remember the glorious time when both BRS and Marine Depot shipped anything for free. It always seemed crazy to me. Like a $2.00 plumbing part shipping for free...

BRS stopped the free shipping a while back. MD kept it for a while. I just bought something today from them, and noticed it was gone too.

I'm sure it was done to stem the Amazon tide. Most stuff is a little cheaper on MD or BRS vs. Amazon, but it's tough to beat that free 2-day shipping sometimes.

I love both those companies and try to use them when I can. I think they both do a lot of good for the reefing community. BRS especially - I love their videos and have called them many times for advice.

Gotta be in very tight with the Chinese Government to have super/free shipping deals anymore..

Go Amazon... Lets get that stock price back up.. Overbought? nonsense..

I still see free shipping on brs just need to hit a minimum which is understandable.

Even amazon has modified their shipping policy. Now many items don't ship free on their own but are 'add on' items. Economics are economics.

Last I checked they still had free shipping but just have to meet the minimum $ amount. Totally understandable.

What I've been noticing with amazon is that more and more products are listed as prime but doesn't qualify for the 2 day shipping. Also less and less products have free same day or next day shipping. They're now $5-6 extra.

Prime 2 day shipping isn't free when membership is $120. But I think I order enough that it makes it worth it.

I pay for prime not sure how that is counted as free.
