Where do I find acrylic/plastic dowels/rods???

I want to drill the live rock and use plastic dowels to secure it together... but I can't figure out where I can get plastic dowels.

Been to Kmart, Home Depot, arts and crafts store and no one has it.

someone posted here once that they used the fiberglass driveway edge markers. Sounded like a good idea. You can find them at Home Depot near the mailboxes. They are about 1/4" and should be reef safe.

Lowe's also sells replacement acrylic curtain rods/venetian blind rotator that work pretty well for this purpose as well.

i couldnt find them at lowes or HD near me. (asked but no help as usual). I called a glass store but they were just going to order the pieces and pass the expense on to me.

I went on Ebay and purchased exactly what I wanted but they killed me on S/H. I think the rods and sheets were 12 bucks and the s/h came to 18. I guess the odd shapes cost more when using usps. IM hopefully going to get these by tomorrow and try my hand at making the pillars and caves this weekend. wish me luck.
