Where do you put your ph controller probe for your calcium reactor setup?

anyone have a picture of the ph probe in the schuran. I am confused with how to install my probe in-line. Just got a schuran and I am still trying to figuer it out.

I built the DIY sealed probe sump above. It works great in that during a power outage, the probe stays wet. I plan to build another one and shunt some tank water through it for the same benefit.

Taggin along.... since I am looking at a small Ca Reactor which doesn't have a spot for a probe...

Q. Some of you folks mentioned a cup for the effulent and the probe... can someone post a pic of theirs

Second one...the device diag above... If I read correctly, it can be used for reactor without probe holder.... From the diag I assume the probe goes on top, the effulent line goes to bottom, and the effulent comes out the T?

The cup is very simple, just suspens a plastic cup inside the sump above the water level, put the effluent line in the cup and let the water overflow the cup into the sump. Put the PH probe inside the cup and it will be measuring the PH of the effluent.

In the above diagram, you are right. The probe goes on top, the effluent line from the reactor is connected to the bottom and the side out goes to either the sump drip point or to the second chamber of the reactor

Thanks jdieck.
BTW are those parts available at HD or I have to go to a plumbing store....
As well when you said 3/4" PVC in the diag... is that ID or OD?

All its standard 3/4" PVC pipe and fittings I found the parts at Menards but surely Home Depot must have them.
If you have trouble finding the part for the probe seal there is a piece that is used to water seal electrical wires in electrical plastic conduit that will also fit the 1//2" probe diameter or you can buy it from www.premiumaquatics.com

You may need to mod the top of the T but is doable.
