Where does my cycle stand???

Hello all,

I would like an opinion on where I stand with my cycle. It has been 20 days and here are my readings:

Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate 50
Salinity: 1.025
PH: 7.8-8.0
Temperature: 80

Is it safe to say I am cycled or should I wait another couple weeks to make sure? I have always heard 4-6 weeks (give or take), but I haven't even hit 3 weeks. I am very weary of thinking it could be cycled but, hey, what do I know. I'm a newbie to all this.

I never had a major ammonia spike at all. It was very minimal, if at all.

A little feedback would be appreciated.

You are probably about done. There are some who might suggest dosing it with some pure ammonia to spike it up a bit and then testing again. I'm not one of those. When your clowns are done with QT let them loose. Do keep putting a pinch or two of food in the DT daily to keep the bacteria well fed. Those larger pellets would be perfect.

I have not been feeding the tank since I had the raw shrimp and the live rock in the sump.....should I have been?

I was under the impression you ghost feed instead of doing the raw shrimp cycle

Sounds like it has cycled to me. Add a fish and see how it does.
