That's awesome! I have been to Indy for the Nascar race, it's a great track. Hope you got a chance to go throught the museum there, it's great to see the history even if you aren't much of an open wheel racing fan.
It's been a long time since I went through the museum, 15 - 20 years ago probably the first time I was there. Indy is a great town, we went to St. Elmo's Steak House downtown afterward last night... WOW!
We've started going to qualifications rather than the race, it makes the day a lot more flexible, the mob isn't quite as bad, and we get home a little earlier.
The seats we used to get were in row E going into turn #1, ok but nothing to brag about because they were so low and you had to look through the fence from so close.
On Saturday you can go just about anywhere you want. The pics I posted are from turn #4 just about 100 yds from where we parked. You can watch from the wire fence on the inside of the turn, fairly close.
We watched qualifications from the first row in the upper section across from the tower... those are good seats!
Been there, done that, no need to ever go back. That has got to be the worst track in nascar and boy am I glad that I didn't pay money for this weeks race...
I know, I know... I guess one of these years I'll just have to bind your hands and feet, throw you in the trunk and force you to go with me and have a good time.
