Nope.... didn't hang in Alsip much.... My cousins were from Mt Greenwood though.... hung out there a bit in my early days.

Ah yes, Mt. Greenwood in the 70's! King Pisces, Barry, 111th just west of Kedzie got me going in this money pit of a hobby. First, Piranahs, then Discus until I saw the salt. 80's was a place on Roberts Road and about 102nd? and the gal in Chicago Ridge by the tracks. I bought a copy of Traffics' Low Spark of High Heel Boys from the record shop on 111th, that's how old I feel tonight. BTW Erik the Red's whoaa!

I got started from the shop on Ridgeland and the tracks. I was going to start at the shop on 95th in Oak Lawn, My brother lived right there, but their tanks crashed and the SW section was never decent after that.

No I didn't know about him. Pretty much everything came from Bev. She was a bit... eccentric but she generally had good advice and decent livestock.
