Where is my potters wrasse???

So 3 days ago I got a potters wrasse and added it to my 90, with a humu trigger and a dog puffer. Now I can find the potters???? it has been 2 days since I have seen it. There are just a few large rocks in the tank as it is a fish only setup. Do these guys hide all the time? if it was eaten i assume I would have seen the body. Both the trigger and the puffer are small I cant see them taking down a hole fish without me seeing any leftovers. What is up with these fish?

most wrasses burrow in the sand bed and hide..... my black hat wrasse hid in the sand for about 4 days before he came out to eat.... I wouldn't be to concerned yet..... you can also check your sand bed.....
 
Please don't take this the wrong way, but you should learn what type of fish and its habits before you buy it. Potters leopard wrasses are on the fragile side. They constantly forage throughout your liverock looking for pods to eat. They stress easily in a new home and hide in the sandbed. Hopefully it will be healthy and come out soon.
 
No offense taken, I did research the fish before purchasing as far as diet compatibility and its requirements, but I guess I missed that they bury them selves. I focused more on what they need more than their overall behavior. Thanks for your Help!

Mine is always looking for food. Very hard to get a good picture of them. But she loves spectrum pellets and PEmysis

first they are very delicate shippers and do not have a great survival rate so as Steve stated you may not see him . on another note i have had "burrowers" hide for weeks and come out just fine si please let nature take its course and hopefully he will come out fine . again listen to Steve as to not disturb the sand bed looking for him as he is under the sand for a reason ,its his safe zone and he is best if left there until he decides to come out . watch your skimmer because if he dies it will start pumping out more than usual then look for him .

Well a good news update, as I got up this morning and turned on the lights, out he came. Swimming around an looking happy. Hopefully he is comfterable and can now relax.
 
I dropped some pe mysis and some small pellets in this morning haven't really seen him eat but he is defiantly picking at my back wall at some of the algae. I was thinking of going and getting some trigger pods to stimulate his feeding. Would he eat that?
 
the tiger pods are hit and miss with them . i have heard some say there wrasses eat them with gusto but i have tried them at least twenty times and my wrasses seem to shun them .

I have never had luck with these. Fish eggs, blackworms, copepods, PE mysis all are attractive. I have one that eats nori.
