I bought him 2 days ago..havent seen him since. Is this normal? I dont have any aggressive/ bigger fish in my tank. Just some Percula Clowns and some clown gobies. What gives?

what kind of wrasse? some burry themselves in the sand and some make a cacoon around them and sleep in the rocks. Either way its normal for a wrasse when first introduced

My wrasse dug a nice deep hole under a rock. He stays in the hole at night and when he's spooked. They are also known to be jumpers. You might wan't to keep a close eye on your floor until it gets comfortable in your tank.

I bought a Scotts fairy wrasse about 4 months ago. He was in my tank for two days and then just completely dissapeared. I looked all over for him both inside and outside the tank. I even cleared everything out looking for him and found nothing. I'm still wondering where in the world he could have gone.

+1

If your tank is not covered with something, you should take some measures to get it covered.

Not with glass tops though... eggcrate & mesh seem to be fairly common.

Just do a search for it.

That's a good start... they can get through it though.

My g/f had sixline that used to cram himself into a small hole in the rock anytime he got stressed.

When we moved her tank from school to her house, I couldn't find the sucker anywhere, so I assumed he jumped.

A few hours later when I was adding rock back to the tank, he popped out of one of the rocks and was swimming around like nothing happened

Completely normal for these fish. Give it 4 or 5 days and he will reappear. Also if your lights are on timers it helps. My yellow wrasse hid 4 days and then appeared in the am and hide by 2 pm. He gradually stayed out longer and longer. Now he disappears about half hours before my lights go out and appears half hour after they come on. Belive me just when you give up hope it will appear.
