Where is the best place to buy?

Problem with online, sometimes, is they do not do as well in shipping.

BUT....

LiveAquaria is good. I have had good luck with Ritteri from there.

Have your LFS order one for you. I always recommend that people view anemones in person prior to buying.

I ordered a bubble tip online from a certain vendor and it arrived non-sticky. It was incredibly moody, never really regained its stickiness. I'd find it fully inflated and non-reactive or fully deflated and floating around a couple of times. I have since donated it to the local reef farm for rehab after 3 weeks of frustration. $90 with shipping down the drain.

I have 2 others that are perfectly healthy bought from stores in the area. Stuck right where I put them and they feed regularly.

Definitely, your miles may vary...my next one will be bought local.

The Fish Room in Cary has had reallllly nice bubble tip nems, huge green ones for $40 and roses for $75. It's hit or miss though, if they're available. Their store in Raleigh has them too sometimes. The 2 green ones I bought from those stores are doing great!

If you have a chance, check out the Reef Farm near Raleigh for aqua cultured corals at great prices...I love that place :) i have 2 very healthy maxi minis from there. check out their website for hours - they're limited. So worth a trip!

Best bet by far is to find a nem that is being sold by a fellow reefer, second is LFS, third online.

I have ordered about a dozen online and only had problems with one. This dope sent it priority mail from Florida to phoenix.....during the summer. The rest have done awesome, overnight from l.a.
