Where to buy a pair of black and white ocellaris?

hobbzz

How do I change this?
I did a few searches, both on here and google/froogle, and didn't come up with any places. Where can I find a pair of black and white ocellaris? I'm going to be contacting ORA tomorrow to find my nearest retailer, but I figured I'd try to find some other online places as well.

What's the likelihood of them fighting? I'm not trying to breed them or anything, just want to have a pair in the same tank. Not just two that won't fight because they stay on opposite sides of the tank or anything like that, but an actual pair.

AFAIK Petco doesn't carry B&W ocellaris. And none of my lfs would either. Even if my lfs could order them, I'm sure two unpaired B&W's from one of them would be the same price as a pair purchased online + shipping.

yeah, what purple penguins said liveaquaria is a great place to get live stock. I wouldn't trust petco, I have heard way too many bad things about them. If you can't find them at the lfs then liveaquaria is the second best thing.

Yeah I like LA. I just got a pair of harlequin shrimp from them last week. But only the divers den stuff is in WI. And shipping is cheaper than a tank of gas. They also don't advertise pairs of B&W's. Spending that kind of money, I'd rather spend a few extra bucks to be certain they won't fight. And I can't imagine what they'd charge for a pair considering their pairs of percs are $230!

But that's the other thing. Since I can't find a website that has them, I have no idea what I'd pay for a pair...if it's outrageously expensive, I'd just get a pair of percs or pink skunks.

BTW if I ended up getting them from petco, I'd pick them up as soon as they came in. So they would never touch petco's tanks.

Yeah I know they don't sell to the public. Like I said, I called them to get a list of local retailers, and the nearest one is 1.5 hrs away. :)

Well I just called LA, and I will NOT be ordering from them. I was told that I could request two clowns of different sizes, but if the ones they had available at the time of the order were all the same size, they would simply send me two of the same size instead of cancelling the order.

I guess I'll give ora another call and see about their online retailers.

I had PetCo order 2 B&W Ocellaris about 7 months ago. They actually came in at somewhat of a good size from ORA. I had them call me as soon as the shipment arrived and purchased them straight from their shipping bags. The best choice I have ever made.

Approximate Purchase Size: 3/4" to 1-1/2"
from LA Site for the B&W Oc they would both be males, and would probably not fight, the more dominant one would turn into your female, its very hard to find an actual "pair" I prefer myself to get two at this size and pair them up. Thats how I did my two current pairs of clowns, one pair being regular Oc clowns and the other pair being True Percs, although my True percs I had one for a bit alone that was rather large and already a female, then I got a second one much smaller in size and they got along automatically, The fighting comes when you purchase two larger ones straight off the bat which both could be females and you run into problems

^ I just called ora again and that's exactly what she told me. :) They also have pink skunks. So now I just have to make up my mind (I've been trying to decide between a pair of pink skunks or B&W's). Decisions decisions...man this is gonna be a tough one.

That's why I was thinking about them, because I've already got a really nice rbta. :D Although I like the "shyness" factor of the skunks...
