where to buy flexible PVC around here?

I need about 6 to 7 feet of 1 inch and another 6 to 7 feet of 1-1/2" flexible PVC ("Spaflex" I think it is called). Home Depot only has 1-1/4".

Anyone know where to get this? I need it for going from the tank's (which I picked up today) returns and drains to the basement as it needs to go through the wall, floor then 2 joists downstairs so hard pipe is not real feasible.

Thanks!

I was in the Deerfield store just now. Didn't see any in the Glenview store. Maybe they only carry it in areas of heavy concentration of Sox fans??? :D

you wont find it on the north shore...try western stores like palatine or gurnee HD...most ace's have it butt we'll need to bend over to get it...lol...

Wannemakers sells black vinyl tubing that is very flexible. it is rigid and will not kink. imo, way better than spa flex and regular vinyl tubing.

wannemakers in in downers grove, not sure if there are other locations

I love the flex pvc! I used a ton of it on my system. all corners were either flex pvc or long sweeps.

I picked it up at a sprinkler supply store. you can also find them at some pool and spa stores. call some pool maintance guy in the yellow pages and ask him where is a good place to buy it. dont call a big pool store they don't really have working knowledge they just know how to sell you a pool and chlorine.

HD and menards in Palatine and Mt. prospect do NOT carry any flex PVC. Tried to get it at those location several times.

I have never seen a HD that did not carry it. I also have never seen an employee who knew what it was. Find the aisle that has the flexible tubing and then look up above, and you'll see it coiled up there.

Lowes also carries it. They also don't know they have it or what it is. It is also on a high shelf in the plumbing section.

I would not use the Wannemakers stuff for going through a floor but I love it for simple connections where flexibility is needed (like hooking to a sea swirl, etc.

Found just enough left at the HD on Oakton (or thereabouts, Niles maybe?). Happen to be driving by and stopped in.

Thanks everyone!

Cheapest place I know if a place called Keystone Hatchery. It's in Richmond, IL. They sell 1.5" Black spa-flex for less than $1.30 a foot.
