Is there a cheaper option than buying the small vials of Kent Garlic marketed to us I like to soak my fish food in it before feeding? Like say from the grocery store or what not? If there is what brand are you folks using & where could I purchase some.
make your own or buy the commercial stuff, i buy the commercial stuff. and i dont use it for ICH, i QT and treat with hypo on everything, i just use it for appetite and feeding frenzy.
How much do you use? I'll put it in once in awhile but garlic seems to turbo charge any algea problems I have. Maybe one feeding per week will have garlic in it.
BTW: I would assume you could use grocery store crushed garlic but I never have. Just make sure the ingrediants are nothing more than garilic and maybe water.
I use it about 3 days a week but very small amounts. Maybe just a few drops. Do they make or sale a liquid version? I guess I could buy a few cloves of garlic & squeeze all the liquid out of them & mix with a little to water. If I go that route I wonder how long it will be good for?
Im gonna try to start feeding pellet foods some & figured the garlic may make it a little more appealing. I alway do flakes or a mix of frozen cube foods so none of my fish have ever had pellets & I'm wanting to make them attracted to them. If that makes any sense.
I use a jar of minced garlic. Drain the juice that's in it and replace with RO water. After a day it will have soaked up all the garlic. The small jar cost me around $3 I think.
