does anyone know where to buy an octo,im waiting til i can find out whats available before i commit to a proper set up,i have 4 reef tanks,so i know how important planning is,so who sells them, and whats available now or soon, thanx

www.saltwaterfish.com sells O. briareus supposedly, although everyone I know that's ordered one from there has gotten O. hummelincki.

www.divertom.com sells O. briareus, catches them himself so you can actually request sizes and what not.

www.marinedepotlive.com sells A. aculeatus, O. hummelincki, and no telling what else.

www.liveaquaria.com sells A. aculeatus as their Indo-Pacific octopus, sometimes O. luteus, and various Caribbean species.

O. briareus is going to need a 75 gallon or larger tank (almost a 48 inch arm span)
O. hummelincki needs a 55 gallon or larger

A. aculeatus needs a 55 gallon or larger, although a smaller tank can accommodate one if you stay on top of water changes.

The more room they have to move around the more variety of behavior you'll see. At least that's my experience.
