Well if you want them shipped OceanGallery has some.Talk to your LFS and ask them to order you a pair from SA.Also migh tbe able to do the same with C-Quest!Also try Ocan-Pro Aquatics! All 3 very good! Also WetThumbFrags has many pairs for sale that they are letting go!
"onyx" can't really be wild caught. onyx is the names coined by c-quest (where rod's stock came from) and should only apply to clowns of that lineage. the clowns that come in wc with the large amount of black are normally just the solomon island blacks (although wetthumbfrags is selling PNGs that they are calling "onyx" as well)
I got a pair from GCreef.com a few days ago, they are doing very well but are small and haven't developed full color yet. I will post pics when I can... Researching into which anemone they would host on and would fit my system (30g). Oh, and as the above poster says, they are not wild caught. I saw them at GCreef since they were larvae, they breed them there.
+1 for kerusso316 (Booyah's Clowns) There's a thread going where you can see some of his clowns. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1525244 His parents are from the same blood lines as "Rod's Clowns", C-quest line breed. Awesome guy, even more awesome fish. I think he's about the only onyx breeder out there that has a guarantee - if your fish don't color up to your expectations, he'll swap it out! You don't have to worry about paying the price for an "onyx" clown and end up with a regular 'ol perc.
He doesn't have a website up right now. The best way to reach him is to call him: 708-715-0424. He's a pretty busy guy, but a very good person, so if he doesn't pick up right away leave a message and he'll call you back and talk to you about whatever you have questions/concerns with.
