Where to buy rare fish? Specifically Phoenix Damsel

So I have one phoenix damsel (aka pink-barred damsel) and I am trying to add another one. Has anyone seen these for sale anywhere?

Good luck finding *anyone* that will special order rare, or even slightly above averagely priced damsels. I've been trying to get my hands on a Tracey's and annulata for the longest time and people either chuckle over the fact that I'm willing to spend more than $10 on a damsel, or have no idea what species I'm even talking about. Liveaquaria occasionally gets the more unusual damsels in and when they do, they usually end up on Diver's Den

Go to your LFS and ask if it is maybe on his list that he orders his fish from? My LFS will not order in expensive fish normally unless someone ask.

+1 on DD and special order from LFS, and you are talking about Plectroglyphidodon Phoenixensis correct?

Yes. I checked with both of the major LFS, but they couldn't help. I might just run a Craigslist ad being that they are a local fish.

I think in Hawaii you're pretty limited to the fish you can get. I think they have to be native fish.

Michael at NYAquatics get in more rare fish than anyone by a long shot
