Where to buy water storage tanks in NYC area

I am going to be redoing my mixing station and want to go with the nicer water storage tanks.. Shipping is crazy Want to find a place to purchase around the Westchester area.

If you're willing to reconsider shipping, try ruralking, www.ruralking.com, great pricing, no tax, and I'm pretty sure free shipping over either 75 or 99 dollars. When I last checked their 40 gallon vertical cylinder and 25 gallon cube were half the price of US plastics and no shipping charges.

So I ran into the same problem. The shipping on these things is crazy. Im in Long Island... What I did was pack up the family and make a day out of driving up around the West Point area... Went to tractor supply warehouse and got my barrels. They have every size imaginable. And if they dont have your size in stock, they can order it. Being that you're in the Westchester area, its a much shorter ride. There are several up that way.

I have a 75 gallon from rural king. $100 to my door as they have free shipping over $99. They have every size imaginable.

I also have a 35 from tractor supply but ruralking is cheaper when you start getting up in size like you are considering...

ruralking shipping did take 3 weeks though if timing is concern for you.

Depends on the tanks you want. I don't think westchester is a farming area, but if there is one close you can try farm and ranch supply stores like Tractor Supply, if you want the blue barrels, your local LDS (Morman) church is a great place to get them. They believe in food and water storage so the church sells the blue barrels at cost.

Sorry for the simple question but how do you get water out of those tanks? I see your RODI input line, do you just take those black circles on the top off? Looking to upgrade my water storage container also and I like those. Thanks

No worries. Fortunately I have a simple answer. There are bulkhead fittings on the front of the tanks. You plumb in a series of valves, fittings and usually a pump or in my case multiple pumps. Funny you should ask because im literally doing that as we speak!
