Where to buy wood?

I want to make a nice canopy. Where do you guys go to get your lumber?

I remember visiting a warehouse in or near Anaheim and they had all sorts of nice wood. I'm looking for a place that has better selection and price than Home Depot or Lowes.

Any suggestions for the OC area would be greatly appreciated.

Austin Hard Woods in Santa Ana offf the 5 and Grand I think. They have it all.

not familiar with OC store but you do have to buy from specialty wood shops for furniture quality wood. home depot and lowes carry low grade construction wood.

Were you thinking Ganahl Lumber in Anaheim?

I think it was Ganahl. Are they a good place to go look?

I looked up Austin Hardwoods and it's only a few miles from me.

I believe the Solid Oak was cheaper than Lowes and Home depot. But not sure about the other woods.
