where to find a large clam?

Where can you purchase a large tridacnid clam on-line? 8+ inches. Do these ship alright?

Just like the best time to plant a tree 20yrs ago... ( 3-5 for a clam i guess.) Jk my LFS gets them in often i would think ones around you could get them in.

I know Ocean Treasures in San Francisco has some huge clams.. about 1 foot - 2 feet long. I'm not sure if they ship or are even selling them.

I wouldnt trust a standard shipping service (ups,fedex,usps), with the handling of a 1-2 food clam. Thats some big boy clams.

Check around you local fish stores and your local clubs. Sometimes they get too big for people and they sell them off. MY LFS gets them in every once and awhile.
