Where to find cuttlefish?

Well, my dwarf octo died a while ago after 7 months. Long story, but he wasn't supposed to be a dwarf. I'm wanting to try some cuttles this time. The tank is 24x24x12h reef and imo should make a good display.

I have a great shop that will order them, but I like options. If anyone has eggs to sell, or trade for some equipment, point me in the right direction.

Ps. I don't need any lectures, and have the experience, and funds for the babies.

Thanks!!

If your local reef shop can order the eggs I say get from them.

+1

Its easier to get them through your LFS than it is to have them shipped in PLUS the price of shipping can get extreme. Most of the cuttle fish I have heard about lately are over in Europe or surrounding areas and are unlikely to be shipped here successfully.

There is a another ceph site that I know of that would have source info. If you are interested in that let me know and I will pm it to you.

I talked to them again today and they say they can. I'm goin tomorrow to trade in some stuff, and place the order. If they come through, i'll start a thread.

I'd never even seen or heard of dwarf's until I saw them this summer at the Seattle Aquarium. Absolutely amazing! Good luck!

Finally!! I have 12 eggs to start with. Hopefully I end up with enough to share the love with some local ceph guys.

Look in the canal lol.. That where I catch cuddle fish but they always act too aggressive to keep long term.

Haha. I guess I could have worded that better. I'm also pretty sure that there are not any cuddle fish in any water around the us. You were probably catching squid. :fun2:
