where to find replacement pump for octopus 300pro

I have an older reef octopus 300 pro with the askoll pump. the sticker on the motor block says
powerjet 1500
A-29052
11/05 made in italy.

all i need is the motor block. it runs great for a day or so then just stops. does anyone know where i can find a replacement block or substitution that will fit the volute assembly?

Lots of places. Do a search for max flo 1500.

is that a direct replacement??? it looks a lot different, but that may be the housing.

Yes, You toss the housing. You will need your pinwheel impeller. It it in good shape? You can put your pinwheel on on the new pumps impeller, but its not easy.

can i just substitute my magnet and the attached pinwheel. or is there another pump i should use altogether?? i found the 1500 for $115 shipped

Yes you can do that as long as it is in good shape. A possible replacement pump would be a Bubble Blaster HY5000. Goes for ~ $225.
