Where To Get 50 Micron Screening?

Hi All,

I am raising/culturing phyto and copepods to dose my tank with for my mandarins. My pods are about ready to harvest but can not find a source to order some 50 micron screen from to filter them from the culture water.

Does anyone know where I can buy some? I found one place but I had to order 3 yards of it. No need for this much. Anyone on here want to sell some?

Let me know,

Thanks,
Scott

I believe Florida Aqua Farms or Aquatic Eco-Systems will sell by the yard. But, if you are culturing to feed your Manderines, a simple Brine Shrimp net will do to collect the adults for broodstock feeding.

FAF also sells "plankton collectors" in various sizes of mesh. They are sturdy and well-made, and one for your copepods and one for a spare won't set you back much.

Don't buy the stuff from Aquatic ecosystems, they change where they get their screen from and it falls apart after a while. Real Nitex screen will last for years. I need to call and complain about that new stuff they have been shipping out. A few weeks of bleach and its gone. FAF plankton collectors are really nice, I've had one for 4 years, cheap if that is all you need. Only about 12 bucks or so.
