where to get a bandit angel

I've been looking to get a bandit angel. I only want to spend $150
at the most. So does anyone know where I can get one for around this price.

150$ is a lot for one! they are pretty cheap from most wholesalers... Most stores here in SOFL sell them for under 40$. They are very hard to get to feed. Ive had better luck and keep us posted....

You will not find one for $150 - that's below wholesale cost. Expect to pay at least $300 - $400.

Yeah, theres no chance at all of getting one that cheap retail. They have a pretty dismal survival record anyhow; most just starve themselves to death. Too bad, its one of my favorite angels...

Bret61081: Are you thinking of the this one, the many bandid angelfish? Those are much cheaper, but as stated above the true bandit from Hawaii will run in the hundreds of $.

That makes sense --- banded sounds a lot like bandit!

Here is the fish I was thinking of

Apolemichthys arcuatus (bandit from Hawaii)

But that's not to say that caring for a Multibanded/barred is a walk in the park...

$150 is way cheap for one IMO. I've had mine for 2 months, and even at wholesale it was twice as much as that.

Luckily, this one was eating and eats right out of my hand. Also doesn't seem to bother my corals...
