Where to get a mated pair of false percs?

Other than rolling the dice and ordering 2 false percs, are there any places which sell them as a mated pair already?

Or do most people here just get 2 tiny ones and let them mate up themselves?

I think premium aquatics has a pair of them, at least I saw it on their livestock list.

Captive Breed, Wild Caught.

Just get a small one and a medium one. With Occelaris your chances of pairing are pretty good.

I would prefer captive bred but would accept wild caught as well...thanks for clearing that up!

and might have to try that sgarron - just looked at the prices at premium and a pair for $70 sounds kinda steep for a pair of false percs.

70's not bad. I've seen them as high as 150. Also, I have dealt with Premium Aquatics many times and they have always been great.

I had assumed you were interested in getting a mated pair for breeding purposes. If you're just looking for a pair of occelaris, I wouldn't bother getting a mated or bonded pair.

You don;t think that there are good chances of them fighting if I don't?

I'm not getting a pair to breed, but years ago I got 2 good looking flase percs together at the same time (they even lived together at the LFS in a small tank) but when I put them in my 300g one chased the other all over the tank within a few days....

One wouldn;t let the other out of a corner and finally had to move one of them (gave me an excuse to start up a nanp 20g though )

But long story short the clown in my 20 is still alive but the my other died...now I wan't to get a peaceful pair in my 300g so figured a mated pair would be my best bet....

$70's not bad? Really? maybe I'm just used to seeing the singles sold for about $15-$20; I assume mated pairs are valued at 2x price...is that the norm these days?

For great fish at a great price, look at Inland Aquatics in Terra Haute, IN. They have numerous captive breed clowns of all species, and they sell singles, pairs, and breeding pairs.
