where to get big tank

Not sure about local but Glass Cages would have the cheapest price. With that cheap price can come lots of headaches, attitudes by the owners, cracked glass on delivery thats your fault or a tank with holes drilled where they want them, not where you specified. It also looks like they have trained monkeys to do the silicone work. There are some that have had good luck but they tend to be the ones local to them (Tennessee). Probably because you can punch the guy out in person so then they are nice people. Over the phone, he is a tough guy and his wife makes Naomi Campbell look like a people person.
On the mid end you can checkout Aquarium Obsessed or Miracles in Glass, both in Canada but there are no customs duties on aquariums. They are both in the Toronto area so trucking is no big deal at all and quite reasonable.
On the high end, theres A.G.E. (Acrylic and Glass Exhibits). The quality is second to none but you will most likely have to sell some organs to afford one of the size you are looking for. Also, you cannot order direct from them in Texas, you have to order through a LFS.
I ordered a tank from Aquarium Obsessed almost two months ago. My tank is due at the end of July but have seen them in person and they are very nice tanks. They beat Miracles price by about 15% and have been very nice people to deal with. They also *gasp* pick-up their phone when you call and my contact is ALWAYS available when I want to bother him.

thanks for the reply... i was checking out glass cages and the prices are great..just what im looking for...except then i hear all the negatives =( I am surely looking for glass, so i am going to check out the places you told me. any one else? doesnt seem like too many options

I have heard nothing but good things about both aquarium obsessed and miracles in glass. Glass cages on the other hand.... I could go on for pages telling you about my experience but instead I will just say DO NOT buy from them. I ignored the warnings and they built my tank wrong, it was chipped, and i have never been treated so poorly by anyone in my life. They did take it back, but it wasn't worth the headache and the delay it caused in setting up my tank.

You might want to read about Aquariums for You. They closed shop and screwed MANY people out of their money.
