Is water from SCRIPPS still free if you fill up there? Do they have a spout that anyone can drive up to? I am moving down to San Diego and need to find out the details
hey, just wanted to let you guys know that ron was out of scripps on sunday when i was there. he said that his guy from san diego wasn't able to deliver it for whatever reason.... i'm sure he'll be receiving some shortly though.

Yes, many report that Catalina is just pumped out of L.A. Harbor. Scripps & UCSB are sand bed filtered, they are also used for sea urchin research by the universities, so probably the best you could put in your tank.

...I use nothing but scripps when i do my water changes for my 12g nano at work and my 55g at home...I have never had any problems in my tanks. the nano has been up for a year.....recently a lfs tested my water and asked who serviced my tank. I said I do and asked why? He said my water is immaculate ..... That was enough for me.....
