Where to get starboard/HDPE/cutting board locally?

Does anyone know where I can get black starboard/HDPE board in so cal area for cheap?

My tank will be 24x72in but I think 2 pieces of 24x32in will do.

Otherwise, I will order online, in which case, does anyone have a cheap source for it online?

ebay has starboard.

Paragon Plastics and Plastic Depot carries it but not sure how much it is. They have locations in Santa Ana, Gardena, El Monte, Burbank off the top of my head.

Yeah, check your local plastic shot. I paid 128.00 for a piece a little bigger then a sheet or plywood from a place in Ontario.

hmmm, why is starboard all that necessary if bottom glass is tempered? Also, what thickness do you guys use? If its just for impact resistance from rocks falling, I'd imagine 1/4inch or 1/2in should be fine right?

Do you think black absorbs too much light and would make the tank hotter? Is white better for its reflective properties?

ghever, 1/2 is fine. That's what I have in mine. If you go too thin, it will curl up on you. There is a place by Jeff's in Gardena if your in that area. McMaster Carr is another good place. I got my 1/2 rod from them to hold my pillars together.
