Southern Cal reefers, I will be in sunny (hopefully) CA this weekend on business, not sure about the location yet but anywhere from the Van Nuys airport, to Chatsworth, over to the Simi valley area. Anywhere or any shops you can recommend for a visit if I have an hour or three to spare? Thanks!

The rest of the shops inside the area you described above are exceptionally medium.
You may also want to try Tat's tropical in Thousand Oaks. It's near Simi Valley but it is a little out of your way.

Since you mentioned Van Nuys Airport, Makin' Waves (www.mknwaves.com) is located right next to it (you can literally see the runway through the chainlink fence from their parking lot). There is a SoCal directory, but I don't know the link off the top of my head. Can someone else chime in?

Well, the trip got a bit condensed, but while driving through one area, (Chatsworth?), I stopped by "Big Fish" aquarium and pond store. They had a pretty good supply of equipment, they just got in some bags of saltwater new fish, had several tanks of softies and such, freshwater cichlids, looked like they were curing a lot of live rock, too. Several tanks with some decent freshwater cichlids. I almost bought some test kits but thought I would get them taken away at the LAX security.
