where to order bulbs from

i need to order 2 60" vho bulbs.

the place i ordered from told me the first actinic i ordered was discontinued. i'm pretty sure that was a lie, so i picked another VERY standard actinic. they also said that was discontinued. i know thats a lie. and why the *curseword* are they still listed as for sale on the *curseword* website?!

worst part is they took 2 full days after i ordered to tell me this. i expected them to be delivered any day now!
i told them to cancel the whole order.

I ordered some 48 inch T5's from Big Al's and both times it looked like the samsonite gorilla beat on the box and the contents were dust. They did refund the purchase but it was a bit of a hassle.

The last time I bought from hellolights dot com and they were great. And FREE shipping to. They got here in just a few days.

hellolights has what i want.. thats where i originally got my lights.
but they're charging $10 per bulb then the other place that failed me.

went with hellolights.
shipping with reefstop was too much.
hellolights did a little price matching.
i'm happy.

i'm unhappy with my lights though. i don't think anyone local carries vhos that big and the size makes shipping expensive.

I've never ordered VHO bulbs but I did get all my T5s from Reefgeek. I can't imagine a site could have better packing than them. All their bulbs are tightly packed in PVC.

Never wise trying to save a buck by going with unreputable companies, that is the beauty of this message board...all you have to do is ask the veterans I try to stick with a few companies that have been around for a long time and I stay loyal to them. To me, loyalty and customer service will always take precedence over saving a buck, but maybe I'm just old-fashioned
