Where to place chalice?

I have had a small frag of the watermelon chalice for about 1 month now and not seeing much growth. I have the coral in the lower part of my 125. Lighting is 2x400W 10K reeflux and 160W of true actinic (T5). I don't directly feed him but every now and then I will feed the tank a mixture of planktons and oyster eggs. The current where he is at is pretty weak. Anyone with experience on this coral please help.

tank params

PH 8.1
KH 14
CA 410

Thanks in advance

The 400's might be a bit bright for the Echinophyllia. I have several kinds, and keep them all on or very near the sandbed. I have 250's and 400 HQI's, and none get strong direct strikes from the 400's. Strong to medium flow is well tolerated IME. Echinopora can tolerate stronger lighting along the lines of plating Montipora's, IME. I do not target feed regularly, though have in the past. It's quite the PIA (very small mouths). The coral does seem to 'stunt' for a few weeks after fragging, until it's healed over. It also grows much more quickly as the size of the colony grows.... when a small frag, it does take them time to grow out. You should see the edges start to change first, then the coral will plate and grow outwards. Increasing flow will sometimes create interesting vertical growths.
YMMV....
