Where to tee off return for skimmer?

Does it matter what height I tee off my return for my skimmer? Should it be up high, or down low? Just needs to be above my skimmer inlet....all down hill is best?

Personally I would say feed it from the overflow and not the return. You want it to remove organics so the overflow is a better choice so it can process any excess food or particulates in the water stream. The return flow is already as clean as its going to get so you will not get as much skimmate.
I chose to feed my skimmer with a MJ 900 powerhead but if I were to toss the pump it would be the overflow feeding it.

I meant overflow...it was late... Where on the overflow, high, low?

I would say high enough so it can gravity feed through without putting additional head on the overflow down to the sump.
